TC-11 was picked by Practical Sailor
magazine as the best spray-on corrosion inhibitor for
electrical and electronic equipment, out-performing all of
the other products tested. Here is what Practical Sailor had
to say in their September 2007 issue.
"Seawater
and electricity love each other with a fatal attraction, and
when they break barriers to get to each other, we suffer
from the destruction left in their wakes. Enter aerosol
corrosion inhibitors. If you spray sensitive electrical
circuitry—including printed circuit boards—with the aerosol
rust inhibitors we tested, they’ll prevent corrosion from
interrupting circuits and water from creating circuits where
they aren’t wanted. Our test lineup included Boeshield T-9,
Corrosion Block, CorrosionPro Lube, CorrosionX, CRC Heavy
Duty Corrosion Inhibitor, CRC QD, LPS 1, Strikehold, TC-11,
WD-40. The TC-11 was our top pick.
The manufacturer of this product—ICC Industries—bills TC-11
(http://www.tc-11.com/)
as "the best corrosion inhibitor…and penetrating oil on the
market," "…the most compatible multi-purpose lubricant," and
says that it "stops, prevents, and removes rust."
Lofty claims, indeed, but
PS
testers found the TC-11 radio to be the cleanest of all.
There was no corrosion at the battery terminals or the
antenna, and the circuit board was generally free of the
deposits seen on all of the others. It also has the most
comprehensive instructions of any product we tested printed
on the canister.
Bottom Line:
No messy residue, combined with effective performance, makes
this our Best Choice for keeping electrical systems
conducting".
The identical
steel Q-panels presented below were chemically cleaned,
treated once with a competing product, and exposed to
identical environmental conditions of 24-hours per day of a
salt breeze, intermittent rainfall, tropical sunlight, and a
nightly condensation cycle for 21 days. The panels are
photographed on a daily basis to document the test results
and the test can be duplicated by any interested party.

See the
Competition page
for more examples of how TC-11 performs in comparison to
other products.
Here is a typical penetrating oil
testimonial:
“After trying everything from heat, a large hammer, WD-40®,
pullers - absolutely everything - this flywheel would not
come off. I was afraid that I was going to have to cut it
off and buy a new flywheel and crankshaft. That would have
set me back a little over $900. But as soon as I thought my
luck was gone, TC-11 to the rescue. I heard about it,
thought about it, bought it at a local Ace®
hardware store. It saved me a fortune. Thank you” - Danny

The photograph below presents a throttle body after
SIX YEARS OF OPERATION AND STORAGE in a salt-laden environment. All of the components are
in "like new" condition. The rubber and plastic parts are
still soft and supple. The cost of maintaining the ENTIRE
VEHICLE in "like new" condition is approximately $20 per
year.

The photograph below illustrates
components from a NINE YEAR OLD vehicle treated with TC-11.
The metal, rubber, and plastic parts are "like new".
The surfaces do not accumulate any dust.

The photograph below illustrates
an EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD vehicle undercarriage that has
been treated with TC-11. This vehicle was exposed salt water
on a regular basis.

The photograph below presents an
ELEVEN YEAR OLD boat engine treated with TC-11 that has
been used exclusively in salt water. The engine is in "like new"
condition. All of the plastic parts are soft and supple. All
of the parts except the spark plugs and the fuel filter are
original.

A photograph of a SIX YEAR
OLD tool set
treated with TC-11 is presented below. All of the tools are
in "like new" condition.

Every individual and every
organization has a definite need for TC-11!
TC-11
is the first product to effectively:
TC-11
removes light surface rust with 0000 steel wool or a small
wire brush.
TC-11
is the World's first penetrating long-term corrosion inhibitor.
TC-11
is an excellent semi-permanent penetrating lubricant.
TC-11 is very effective at
preventing vehicle corrosion caused by road and ocean salt.
TC-11
makes electrical systems water resistant for an
extended period of time.
TC-11 removes
recently set concrete
from metal tools.
TC-11 removes adhesive residues,
rust stains,
and indelible ink from
most surfaces.
TC-11 does all this without adversely affecting rubber,
paint, and plastic.
TC-11 is completely free
of silicone, chlorine, and heavy metals.
TC-11 comes off easily with soap
and water or any mild degreasing surface cleaner.
TC-11 offers a significant
performance improvement over all other corrosion
inhibitors.
TC-11
is the end of "Normal Wear and Tear"
TC-11 was developed by an aerospace engineer to increase the lifetime and reliability
of all types of tools and equipment at a minimal cost and
with a minimum of effort.
TC-11 is available nationwide at some Ace Hardware, Do it
Best or True Value
hardware store. If it isn't in stock, please ask for it by
the item number. TC-11 is in the warehouse, so it is a
simple mater for the store to order TC-11.
ICC offers a no questions asked money-back guarantee. If you
are not satisfied with our products for any reasons, simply
return them and ask for a full refund.
ICC is the only corrosion
inhibitor manufacturer that provides documented
side-by-side test results to
substantiate product performance claims. Standardized steel
test panels treated once with a competing product and
exposed to identical test conditions were used to generate
the following test results.

This graph indicates that TC-11
offers unprecedented corrosion control performance. The
TC-11 film is an excellent lubricant, so the lubrication
performance of TC-11 is superior to competing bulk
lubricants by the same margin as the unprecedented corrosion
control performance. The rust penetrating capability of
TC-11 is a function of the fact that TC-11 makes rust
"float" off off the underlying metal. It has to be seen to
be believed.

TC-11 won the
Retailer's Choice Award at the August 2002
National Hardware Convention and the Dealers
Pick Award at the September 2002 Hardware
Conference on Marco Island, Florida.
TC-11 allows you to:
- Maintain the original
appearance and performance of equipment indefinitely
with a minimum of cost and effort.
- Help restore rusted
equipment to its original. performance and appearance.
- Increase the equipment
lifetime and reduce operating. and maintenance costs for all
types of equipment.
- Prevent vehicle damage from
road and ocean salt in conjunction with painting and undercoating.
- Make electrical systems
virtually impervious to the effects of water for extended
periods of time.
- Perform a variety of
household tasks, such as lubricating door and window
hardware, removing rust stains, adhesive residue, and
indelible ink from a wide variety of surfaces.
Limitations of TC-11
In order to increase customer
satisfaction, ICC want to clearly identify the limitations
of TC-11.
1. TC-11 is not a replacement
for paint. TC-11 is a corrosion inhibitor designed to
compliment a robust coat of paint, not to replace it. If a
paint film fails, the corrosion cell will lift up the
adjacent film of paint and the entire paint film will fail
in a relatively short amount of time. If a coat of TC-11 is
in place the corrosion cell will not grow, even if the item
is submerged in salt water.
2. TC-11 will not remove heavy
rust deposits. TC-11 is effective at removing light surface
rust. It is also effective at removing the thin coat of rust
that interferes with the adhesion between the primer and the
underlying metal. It is not a replacement for sandblasting
or other mechanical methods that are used to remove heavy
rust deposits.
3. If the item you are treating
is going to be submerged in salt water or fresh water for an
extended period of time, you should use Car Coat, Barge
Coat, or Cable Coat.
4. It is not possible to paint
over TC-11. The TC-11 will interfere with the bond between
the primer and the underlying metal. TC-11 be removed with
and mild degrease such as soap and water or Simple Green®.
5. TC-11 has a "wet" surface. It
never hardens. This allows TC-11 to function as a highly
effective lubricant. Dust accumulation may be an issue if
the coat of TC-11 is too thick. The dust may be removed by
washing down the item with a stream of fresh water. The
water will remove the dust, but it will not remove the coat
of TC-11.
6. On some occasions the aerosol
nozzle may clog. The nozzle may be cleared by removing the
nozzle, placing the nozzle outlet on the aerosol valve stem,
and momentarily depressing the vale stem to backflow TC-11
through the nozzle.
One Final Note
TC-11 does not affect rubber,
paint, and plastic. If TC-11 comes into contact with a clear
coat or a finish coat on a vehicle, boat, or piece of
equipment it will not have any effect on the surface finish.
No other corrosion inhibitor manufacturer makes this
performance clam. TC-11 has been used by thousands of
customers on millions of dollars worth of equipment without
a single report of any compatibility issues.
TC-11 has a significant positive environmental impact.

a no questions asked money back guarantee.
